  • Departmental Introduction:

    The department of Food and Nutrition was established in 1996. Home Science Curriculum offers Food and Nutrition as one of its major subject. The departments of Food and Nutrition studies recognize the fundamental importance of Food and Nutrition to human well being. Our students gain practical expertise through innovative course book. The department provides the facilities to find nutritional information of what we consume and how to live healthy and prosperous life. Other facilities involves the departmental library that has a good collection of text books, reference books and personal computer with broadband internet connection. Our department strives to prepare students for carriers in community nutrition sectors and health care.

  • Dr. (Mrs.) Meghali M. Joharapurkar has been jury member for poster session at International Conference on Science and Technology for Society held on 23, 24 & 25 May, 2014 at Bangkok, Thailand.
  • A student of college, Miss. Nikita Nichani secured 1st prize in Essay Competition in Annual Scientific Session of Nutrition Society of India, Nagpur Chapter conducted in 2014 and 2015.
