  • Department Of English & Communication Skills :

    Department of Textile & Clothing was started in July 1996. At UG level, the basic information about the subject Textile & Clothing is given to the students, in which they study about the process of making yarn, their qualities & interlacing process. They also study about the process of selection of fabric & various techniques of ornamenting them like dyeing, printing, fabric construction & woven fabric analysis, fashion designing, pattern making, grading, draping fashion marketing & merchandising, etc. They also gain both theoretical & practical knowledge about elements of art, principles of designing, traditional embroidery.

Department has started UGC Sponsored Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma Course in ‘Textile Designing’ under Career Oriented Programme.
