INTRODUCTION TO DEPARTMENT :

The Physics Department was established in the year 2005 with total build-up area 758 sq. feet. The laboratories are well equipped with all infrastructure facilities provided to the students. The department aims to know the basic concepts and law of Physics and develop an interest in the student and creates job opportunities in their life. It is for UG level course with sophisticated instruments set ups, Computers and Internet facility as well as departmental library. The department is providing undergraduate course in Physics in Science faculty and is Self Finance Course. Physics Syllabi of undergraduate is designed by RTM Nagpur University. It covers various topics like Heat, Electricity, Magnetism, Newtonian Mechanics, Fluids, Thermodynamics, Wave Optics and Conversion of energies. It includes study of the basic knowledge of Computer and its application in Physics. Students are regularly assessed by internal assessment process like Assignments, presentations of the Seminars, Unit Tests and Preliminary examination to make them to face the university examinations. The students are regularly oriented by the visiting faculties from renowned institution. The Department regularly organise Guest lectures, seminars and competitions related to Physics, which explore the latest updates in the subject. Faculty members are actively involved in the syllabus framing and restructuring at the University level. Apart from traditional method of board teaching, modem ICT enabled methods using the Power Point presentations on LCD projector and audio-video educative material available as CDs and material accessed from the internet, is liberally utilized by the faculty members. Students are also encouraged to develop presentations using these resources.
